Males grow to a length of up to 6 m (20 ft), rarely exceeding 6.1 m or a weight of 1,000 - 1,075 kg.
Females are much smaller and rarely surpass 3 m. They are the most aggressive of all crocodiles.
The coloration is pale yellow with black stripes when young but dark greenish-drab coloured as adults.
